have you ever compared and contrasted two texts to each other. I have done that many times. For example, the myth Pandora's box and "Button, Button". These two stories have many things in-common. One thing is that both pandora from Pandora's box and Norma from "Button, Button" both did something they weren't suppose to do. The thing that is different about both of them is that Pandora's box is a myth and "Button, Button" is a short story. A myth is a traditional story told to explain why something came to be or happened.

What the compare and contrast is for Pandora's box is that she was curious. Also in "Button Button" norma was curious. How i can compare them is because in Pandora's box she was made with curiosity and it got the best of her.She was told not to open her box and she did so all of the horrible things in life happened. What happened with norma in "Button Button" is that mr.steward wanted to sell her something that caused like death. So she turned him down once then she called him back. When she called him back she wanted to know what would happened. After that someone she knew had died. That is the Compare and Contrast that happened between the two stories.

Some stories can relate in many ways. "Pandora's box", is based on a guy who loves to play tricks on people, so he made a statue of a woman. Later he made the statue come to life. Then he named the woman Pandora and offered her to be the wife of Prom(a titan). Then at the end of the myth, Pandora was ordered not to open the box she was given. However she did and evil was brought about.
On the other hand in the story, "button, button" the main character Norma was given a box ith a button. the button(when pressed)would kill someone she loves. However, she presses the button and her boyfriend dies. the relation to each story is that the two characters were given instructions and went against them.

Many things are alike, but different as well. For example,my cousin, and me are alike by how we dress outside of school, but we're different on how we show ourself to others.Well in the stories "Button, Button",and "Pandora's Box" both Norma, and Pandora gets a package.Norma gets a button unit.Pandora gets a box full of evil(when she opened it evil came out of the box).Norma's husband told her not it push the button unit.Pandora the god told her not to open the box.The stories are different because Norma's husband dies after Norma pushed the button.Pandora opened the once more ,and hope came to the land. So,there for the stories are alike, but some what different.

sometimes you don't no what to believe. In class we have been learning about myths.Myths are stories that happened a long time ago.Myths are also stories that people past down to another. Some people think myths are real and some don't.Pandora's box and button Button. Are two different types of stories.Button Button is about death.Pandora's box is about payback .these stories have a lot in common.what you do will always come back.

Something is always happen. For example in the story "Button,Button by Richard Matheson" Mr.steward gave Norma a button and if she press the button something would happen. In the myth Pandora's box there was a box fill with evils and anger, sickness, provety, and everything thing that bad in the world fell, she was able keep hopelessness. If that evil fell out then there would be no hope. The connection that they have is how Norma form Button,Button had pushed the button something would happen. If Pandora's didn't held hopelessness there would be no hope. They also have there differences as well. The only differences that they have is how "Button,Button" is a story and Pandora's Box is a myth.

Many people compare and contrast. They do this to find the difference and similarities of things. The myth, "Pandora's box is about Zeus punishing Pro with trickery by making a statue of a woman, then bringing the woman to life and giving her a box and telling her never to open it. The story "Button, button is about Norma receiving a button unit from Mr. Steward. If Norma pushes the button, someone will die and she would get $50,000.The similarities of these two is if Norma or pandora

Comparing and contrasting a story and a myth is difficult but yet really easy. The story called "Pandora's Box" is a myth and the story "Button, Button" is a short story. In each scenario there is a decision is being made by one of the main characters of the story that involves them doing something that has big effects on them. On the other hand these effects may be good for them or somebody else but it does not have the same effect that they thought it would. In "Pandora's Box" Prom sole fire from one of the God's (Zeus) to feed some homeless villagers that he had seen, after the God (Zeus) had denied him his wish. In the end the God (Zeus) offered Prom a statue woman who he had turned to life named Pandora to be his wife. Prom very much liked Pandora but was discouraged because he believed that it was a trick from the God (Zeus). Prom turned the offer down and therefore he was punished by the God. The God tied Prom to a rock and sent a big bird to et off of his flesh everyday. In "Button, Button" Mr.Steward offers Norma and Arthur a chance to win $50,000. To receive the money though Norma and Arthur had to push a button which would kill an anonymous person. Norma pushed the button and it killed her husband Arthur. In both of these stories the characters took a chance at something and it caused them pain and someone's life.

have you ever heard of a myth but related it to a story. What happened with norma in "Button Button" is that mr.steward wanted to sell her something that caused like death. So she turned him down once then she called him back. When she called him back she wanted to know what would happened. After that someone she knew had died."Pandora's box", is based on a guy who loves to play tricks on people, so he made a statue of a woman. Later he made the statue come to life. Then he named the woman Pandora and offered her to be the wife of Prom. Then at the end of the myth, Pandora was told not to open the box she was given. However she was dumb and did and evil was brought down to the world. That is the Compare and Contrast that happened between the two stories.

connections are made throughout a lot of things. In both stories, "Pandora's Box" and "Button,Button" dealt with a conflict that lead to a bad outcome. In "Pandora's Box" a clay women had a box and was told to not open it. However, as she open it, all evils and bad things in the world came out. In the story "Button,Button" a women named Norma was offer a button and if push, someone she don't know dies as Norma receive 50,000 dollars. Thats why you should really think about what your going to do before doing it.
